Hello, I am Phoebe Tan

Design is more that just beauty; it is beauty with purpose

By treating the Double Diamond framework as a versatile set of tools rather than a mandatory checklist, i tailor my design process to be more responsive and effective, much like a skilled carpenter choosing the right tool for the job. This approach not only improves project outcomes but also enriches my own skills and adaptability as a ui/ux designer.

Integrate Design Thinking into My Design Process

Empathize with Users: In the Discover phase of the Double Diamond, incorporate extensive user research methods from Design Thinking such as interviews, observations, and persona creation to gain deep insights into user needs and behaviors.

Prototype and Test Iteratively: During the Develop phase, rather than settling on a single solution early, use the Design Thinking approach to prototype various solutions and test these with users. This iterative testing can inform refinements and lead to a more user-centered product.

User Feedback Loops: Consistently integrate user feedback throughout the project. In the Deliver phase, continue to test and refine the product based on user interactions and feedback, ensuring the final solution is optimized for user satisfaction.

Flexibility in Problem Definition: Use the Define phase to not just define problems based on business needs but also incorporate user perspectives gathered during the Empathize phase, ensuring that solutions address real user problems effectively.

By merging these elements of Design Thinking with the structured phases of the Double Diamond, i can create a more dynamic, user-focused development process that aligns with both user needs and business goals.
