WPH Digital's Mobile Application Game
Mobile Application Game UI Design
2013-2016
From 2013 to 2016, I worked as an internal creative designer at WPH Digital Pte Ltd. I managed mobile application UI/UX design within the R&D team. This role provided my first experience in designing mobile user interfaces, and I was grateful for the opportunity to design a mobile game UI.
Firstly, I focused on thoroughly understanding the company's requirements, including the app's goals and objectives. This process involved several brainstorming sessions and focus group discussions to ensure a clear and comprehensive grasp of the project needs.
Secondly, I developed the initial wireframe and a low-fidelity prototype. These designs helped visualize the app's structure and functionality, facilitating early feedback and necessary adjustments. Concurrently, I engaged in discussions with developers to understand any technical constraints and challenge, ensuring the design was both innovative and feasible.
Thirdly, I defined the art direction and created a moodboard. This step involved selecting the visual style, color schemes, and overall aesthetic to ensure a cohesive and appealing design that aligned with the app's purpose and target audience.
Lastly, I prepared all the assets required for both Android and iOS platforms, ensuring compatibility and high-quality performance across devices. This included creating detailed game effect animations to enhance the user experience, preparing and editing soundtracks. By handling these diverse elements, I ensured a cohesive and engaging final product that met all technical and aesthetic standards.
